Andre Iguodala has agreed to extend his career with the now NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, as the two sides have agreed to a three-year, $48 million deal, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
Earlier today, Iguodala met with the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and the Sacramento Kings. Iguodala was really looking for a guaranteed three years.
The Warriors were smart to offer Iguodala this money due to the immense value that he adds to the franchise. You may recall back in 2015 when Iguodala won the Finals MVP due to his impressive two-way play. He averaged 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists during that run and shot 52.1 percent from the field.
Iguodala, 33, is not in his prime years but certainly a huge spark off the bench for the Warriors and one of the best premier defenders in the league.
