Andrew Bogut has decided to join the Cleveland Cavaliers once he clears waivers, according to reports. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Bogut will fly to Cleveland this week and play sometime this upcoming week.

‎”This gives Andrew a chance to get back to the Finals and prove to everyone he’s the defensive player everyone knows he can be,” Bogut’s agent David Bauman tells ESPN.

The Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, and the San Antonio Spurs have demonstrated critical enthusiasm for Bogut and his abilities, but chose Cleveland because of a shot at a title.

Bogut has now set himself up to battle his former team, Golden State Warriors, in June. Whilst a member of the Warriors, Bogut averaged six points and eight rebounds a game. He also averaged two blocks as well.

By just signing Deron Williams yesterday, the Cavaliers will have to release one more player on the team to make room for the two veterans.
