Bucks Maximize Title Window With Holiday

When the Milwaukee Bucks acquired Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans this past November, it was a move fans had eagerly been waiting for.

Most knew a change had to be made to help the Bucks become a championship-caliber team. Adding one of the best two-way guards in the league may have done just that.

Announced on Easter Sunday, Holiday put pen to paper to remain in Milwaukee. A deal well-deserved by most– especially after this past week’s performance, where Jrue found himself the Eastern Conference’s player of the week.

Averaging 26.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists over the last four games, Holiday earned himself his first-ever Conference Player of the Week honor. The hope for many is that Holiday can step up and take control when it matters most. His two-way prowess of lock-down defense and scoring ability is something Milwaukee has greatly missed in years passed.

Future Locked In

With contending teams like the Nets and Sixers making moves to improve, it is a relief Milwaukee has done the same. A major upgrade next to Khris and Giannis is the ultimate triple threat.

The league has certainly changed.

Years back most would do anything to sign with a big market, but some players are interested in a different route today. Some want a well-rounded respectable organization that cannot only pay them, but provide them with a chance to win.

Loyalty can still be hard to come by, but it’s seemingly a part of Milwaukee DNA.

In Arms Reach

Always falling just short, the Bucks have been at the cusp of making the NBA finals since 2018.

Right now, however, their title window is as open as ever. Credit is due to not only the organization, but to Middleton and Antetokounmpo who have shown their loyalty and eagerness to win here in Milwaukee.

The Bucks are sure to encounter numerous obstacles down the home stretch. This time around though, the Bucks finally have the team to push through them and reach the next level.
