Free agent PF Terrence Jones has agreed to a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, Shams Charania of The Vertical announced via Twitter. This deal will keep the ex-Pelican in Milwaukee for the rest of the season.
Jones opened this year as a New Orleans Pelican, but after the Pelicans acquired superstar DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings, Jones couldn’t see himself in New Orleans’ future and was later waived.
Milwaukee suddenly became rather thin in the frontcourt after losing Jabari Parker (torn ACL) for the season and Michael Beasley (hyperextended knee) for the foreseeable future. Beasley was inserted into the Bucks starting lineup after the devastating news about Parker and quickly stepped into the second scoring role behind Giannis Antetokounmpo.
At 26-33, the Bucks are two games behind the Detroit Pistons for the eight seed in the Eastern conference. Jones will be another offensive force and could step into the starting lineup should Beasley remain sidelined for an extended period of time.
