After just one month under contract, the Cleveland Cavaliers are parting ways with Larry Sanders, Shams Charania of The Vertical announced via Twitter. The Cavs plan to add 7’3 center Edy Tavares in place of Sanders.
This move was rather surprising, the Cavaliers were among several teams interested in signing the big man after he announced his return to professional basketball. The original goal was to have Sanders give starting center Tristan Thompson some rest, but the former Milwaukee Buck spent most of his time with the Cavs’ D-League affiliate in Canton.
