Are you looking forward to the Cavs-Warriors match up tonight? Yeah about that…
A source close to the situation has said that the Cleveland Cavaliers are thinking about sitting out stars LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love for the anticipated rematch against the Golden State Warriors.
Due to the importance of the game, the likelihood of this occurring is slim. The Cavaliers are clearly aware of what is at stake tonight, and would most likely pay a huge fine if this occurs.
Back in 2012, the San Antonio Spurs were fined $250,000 for resting Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Danny Green, and Tony Parker for a crucial game against the Miami Heat. David Stern called it “a disservice to the league and our fans.”
If the Cavaliers do choose to rest their stars, it would be the second time this season it occurred. On Dec. 14, the Cavs rested their big-3 against the Memphis Grizzlies. Is that an issue? Probably not, but keep in mind the game was played in Memphis. The Cavs only go to Memphis once a year and Grizzlies fans did not get a chance to watch the big-3 play.
NBA fans should show no concern here. As mentioned earlier, the likelihood of this happening is slim. The Cavs will want to put on a show for the fans, and so would the Warriors. TIp-off is at 8 et on TNT.
TAKE A DEEP BREATH!!!!! EVERYTHING WILL BE ALL RIGHT
