Clippers Interested in a Sign and Trade for Paul George

The Los Angeles Clippers have shown immediate interest in a sign and trade for Indiana Pacer Paul George, who told his team Sunday that he would be leaving in 2018 for the Los Angeles Lakers. Now the Clippers are coming in and desperately trying to save their franchise and compete with the NBA-Champion Golden State Warriors.

However, the Clippers already have three notable free agents this summer in Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and J.J. Redick. Many reports have been circulating that Paul has shown an abundance of interest in the San Antonio Spurs.

The Clippers have been miserable throughout the postseason unfortunately due to many injuries to key players on the team. So it would make sense for them to go after George right? Think again. Any team who trades for George this week or before the season starts is making a huge gamble due to PG’s indecisive commitments.

The Indiana Pacers really don’t have many viable options at play here due to George openly stating that he plans to leave in 2018’s free agency.
