What the Phoenix Suns-Memphis Grizzlies game lacked in competitiveness, it made up for in entertainment. With a little more than a minute left in the 4th quarter, a Devin Booker foul on Troy Daniels started a near-brawl between the teams – including six technical fouls and three ejections.
So much for AAU babies, huh Charles Barkley?
Daniels squared up and launched a three from the top of the key; and Booker came over to put a hand in his face, but ended up with a foul that set a lot of people off.
Eventually Daniels would be ejected for the Grizz, as well as Tyler Ulis and Marquese Chriss for the Suns.
This comes after Charles Barkley’s very public remarks all but saying today’s NBA is soft and cuddly.
The story wasn’t in the squabble between the two teams, though, but rather in Booker’s post game comments.

“He’s been on five teams in three years and he has the nerve to talk trash to me?” Booker’s play backed up his mouth tonight, as he led the Suns with 20 points in the loss.
A lot of people around the league expect Booker to become a star, and in his second season he seems well on his way, averaging about 21 points per game. Oh yeah, and last week he showed off how clutch he can be with a buzzer beater against the Kings.
It’ll be interesting to see if/how Daniels responds to the young gun’s post game comments about him. Could be more to come from this story.
