Since signing with the Golden State Warriors six months ago, Kevin Durant has had to deal with constant questions about why he didn’t join (insert your favorite team here).

This week hasn’t been any different.

With the Warriors in New York to take on the Knicks on Thursday, the same questions arose for the 2014 MVP, and this time he was pretty blunt.

According to Ethan Strauss of ESPN, when asked why he decided not to team up with Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony in the Big Apple, all the 10-year veteran said was: “Uh, because I didn’t want to.”

Considering Durant spent time with Anthony prior to his decision, and the former Thunder superstar admitted the Knicks were intriguing, the prospect of him going there wasn’t too far-fetched.
