We’ve hit the point in the season where many fanbases have given up hope on playoff berths.
Fantasy managers need to remember that there’s a whole second half ahead, and these professionals must continue to show up to work. Even though hope might be lost from a team perspective, there’s reason to believe three players on spiraling franchises will offer better fantasy production with softer matchups on the horizon. As always, I’ll be here every Wednesday providing three players to make inquiries on across fantasy leagues.
Davante Adams, WR, New York Jets
The Jets are the laughingstock of the NFL currently, but there’s a lot of season left and the Jets have a friendly schedule ahead. The sentiment around Jets players is likely at an all-time low. It’s hard to see things getting worse for the team barring injuries. It’s still early in Adams’ Jets tenure, and he’s seeing healthy target numbers. There’s reason to believe brighter days are ahead with the schedule opening up.
Jake Ferguson, TE, Dallas Cowboys
Even though Ferguson missed out on the barrage of touchdowns his fellow tight ends enjoyed on their national holiday, he still posted a strong day in terms of targets, catching six of eight for a meager 23 yards. While the yardage totals have been low recently, Ferguson has seen consistent volume all year and figures to break through in the coming weeks during a stretch of soft matchups.
Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants
Just in case Nabers’ managers have forgotten who he is (or has grown tired of the endless suffering that Daniel Jones inflicts), the young wideout will soon remind them against the Commanders and Panthers in the next two weeks. Also, Jones could still get benched at any time, giving hope for brighter days if Drew Lock provides quality play.
