Flu Game 2.0?

on

LeBron James was flat out awful in the game 3 loss to the Boston Celtics. However, teammate Richard Jefferson is coming out and saying that James had been dealing with the stomach bug.

Per FS Ohio, a bug had been going around that resulted in Deron Williams to miss shootaround.

“I know he won’t talk about it, so I’ll give my big guy a shout,” Jefferson said. “Deron Williams missed shootaround this morning because he had like a little bug, really lethargic, had no energy. And I think that’s what ‘Bron had. And sometimes these little bugs can go around. And [James] was like, dude when Deron didn’t show up to shootaround, it kind of started clicking in his head. Because for him it was like, ‘I don’t know why I was so lethargic, why I had no energy, I had nothing.’

“And so, these little things happen. [There] was no panic. Look, he was lethargic, they hit a bunch of tough shots, if Marcus Smart doesn’t go 7-for-10 from 3, then we’re not even talking about it.”

As a result of the bug, as you saw in games 3 and 4, James was awful and limited while on the court. The Cavs could not hold on in game 3 losing 111-108 behind a buzzer beater from Avery Bradley. Yesterday the Cavs were led by a miraculous third quarter from Kyrie Irving to take a commanding 3-1 lead.

A question will now be debated in the social media world, whose flu game was better, LeBron or Jordan?
