Joel Embiid took notes from Allen Iverson as he scored a career high 33 points against the Brooklyn Nets. He scored 17 of his 33 during the third quarter. He also added 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Embiid, who is by far the leading candidate for Rookie of The Year, says that A.I gave him some advice before the game. “Play like it’s your last game.” Embiid then comments on his dive for the loose ball, in which he fell on a fan. “I think I stepped on his shoulder. I’m sorry, but I’m going to give my all every time I’m on the court.”
