J.R. Smith and Darrelle Revis Twitter Beef

The New York Jets future Hall of Famer, Darrelle Revis exchanged words with J.R. Smith over Twitter.  Revis, who is one of the all-time greats at, his position, has not been playing so well at the start of this NFL season.  Well Smith went to Twitter to voice his opinion, and let’s just say that Revis took offense to the comments.

This past Thursday the New York Jets faced the Buffalo Bills during Week 2 of the NFL season.  Revis was scored on by the Bill’s Marquise Green, on a 84 yard touchdown.

J.R. Smith would then comment on Twitter about the play, and Revis did not like that at all.

Revis responded the next day to Smith.

It appears that J.R. was attempting to motivate Revis.  He mentioned that he was a fan, and wanted to throw some “gas on the fire.”  But Revis didn’t see it that way. I guess the new rule is that athletes can’t be casual fans and have opinions of other athletes.
