Cleveland Cavaliers guard JR Smith will suit up tonight as the Cavaliers take on the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Smith is recovering from a thumb injury that he suffered on Dec. 20 versus the Milwaukee Bucks. He had surgery and his recovery was set for 10-12 weeks.

In the offseason, Smith signed a 4-year/$57 million contract to remain with the Cavaliers. Prior to his injury, he averaged eight points per game on 33 percent shooting from the field.
