Kevin Durant left Tuesday’s game against the Washington Wizards after teammate Zaza Pachulia – who appeared to be thrown to the ground by Wizards big man Marcin Gortat – fell into Durant’s left leg less than a minute into the first quarter.
Durant gingerly ran up and down the court on the next couple of possessions before heading to the locker room at 10:27 of the opening period. He suffered a hyperextended knee on the play and was set to undergo an MRI at a local hospital.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters following Golden State’s loss that the team would know more Wednesday.
