The UFC world has been shook by the recent defeat of Ronda Rousey. Rousey was defeated on Friday night at UFC 207, by Amanda Nunes. The fight was over before it even started. Rousey loss the fight in 47 seconds by TKO.
Of course, social media attacked Rousey and she received a lot of backlash following the fight. But not everyone felt she deserved the criticism, especially Kobe Byant.
Instead of clapping for @RondaRousey defeat give her a standing O for putting the sport on the map #pioneer #muse

Kobe has a valid point. If it wasn’t for Ronda Rousey, the UFC would not be where it is now. But as a superstar athlete, this comes with the territory.
If anyone know what it’s like to be ridiculed, it’s LeBron James.
The day after the fight, LeBron spoke with the Akron Beacon Journal about Rousey’s defeat.
“In sports, in general, they build you up as high as they can, put you on the highest mountain in the world, just to tear you down. That’s coming from somebody who has experienced it. And that’s exactly what she’s going through right now,” James said. “That’s a fact. I know exactly how she feels because I was that athlete. I went through that.”
LeBron received the same backlash once he left for Miami. But years later, he’s now a three time champion so it worked out for him.
