Kyrie Irving Claims That The Earth Is Flat

Cleveland Cavaliers star guard Kyrie Irving is known for many things on the court. Hitting clutch shots, breaking the ankles of defenders, and being one of the most ruthless scorers in the league.

Off the court, however, Irving is an individual with many theories about plenty of things. Most recently, in an episode of Road Trippin’ with RJ & Channing, Irving believes that Earth is flat. You read that correctly.

What I’ve been taught is that the earth is round. But if you really think about it from a landscape of the way we travel, the way we move and the fact that, can you really think of us rotating around the sun and all planets aligned, rotating in specific dates, being perpendicular with what’s going on with these planets,” Irving said on the podcast.

Irving claims that the school system brought him up in believing the earth is round, however, he wants people to do their own research.

“there is no concrete information, except for the information that they’re giving us,” Irving said.

Many scientists have debunked Irving’s theories. In fact, Nerdist.com gave eight reasons as to why Irving is wrong: YOU DON’T WEIGH LESS AT THE HORIZON,YOU DON’T FALL OFF THE PLANET, and ECLIPSES SHOW YOU EARTH’S SHAPE.

As if things weren’t getting more weird, Irving also made a strong claim about planets. Irving mentioned about the planet alignments and so forth and Jefferson said, “ “How are you going to put the word ‘planets’ in quotations?”

Irving responded, “Because, everything that they send — or that they want to say they’re sending — doesn’t come back,” Irving reasoned. “There is no concrete information except for the information that they’re giving us. They’re particularly putting you in the direction of what to believe and what not to believe. The truth is right there, you just got to go searching for it.”
