It has been 24 hours since LaVar Ball has made an outlandish statement. Today he decided to get right back into the spotlight. The father of the UCLA star Lonzo Ball had this to say today when speaking of his son.
“To me Zo is the best player in the world,” LaVar says. Yes, even better than all-stars LeBron James and Russell Westbrook. “I don’t know if he can beat them one on one,” Ball says, conceding the NBA stars are stronger than his son, the Pac-12 player of the year and an expected top pick in the upcoming NBA draft. “But I know he can beat them 5 on 5.” via MSN
There’s not much that can be understood from this odd statement. LaVar has been on a tear in the media, just a few days prior, poppa Ball stated that it would take a billion dollar offer from any major shoe company that wanted to sign his sons.
This new claim may is almost as bad as Mr. Ball saying that he would not only beat Michael Jordan one-on-one, but he would “dominate” him.
As March Madness moves forward, we can expect more outrageous quotes from the leader of the Ball family as long as Lonzo and UCLA keep winning.
