Right before the exciting (game of the year candidate) thriller between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards, New York Daily News Writer, Frank Isola started a rumor that “LeBron [is] pushing Cavs to get Carmelo even if trade includes Love.”
With the reports swarming around the league in the middle of a big game for Cleveland, James & Love responded with huge games.
LeBron James dropped 32 Points on 67% FG, along with 17 Assists and an incredible 6-8 from the 3-point line, including this one to take the game to overtime:
Not only did Kevin Love throw that unbelievable pass to LeBron to force an overtime period, Love ended the game with 39 Points and 12 Rebounds, while shooting 6-10 from downtown to help the Cavaliers pull out their 140-135 OT victory.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have now won 5 of their last 6 games, with their January struggles now behind them, the Cavs have expressed how content they are with their current roster.
When LeBron James was asked directly after the game about the trade rumors, he responded with immediate distaste to the question and said, “It’s trash, and the guy who wrote it is trash…it’s always about outside noise, and that’s just outside noise to us.”
