LeBron James on Kevin Love Trade Talks: “It’s Trash”

Right before the exciting (game of the year candidate) thriller between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards, New York Daily News Writer, Frank Isola started a rumor that “LeBron [is] pushing Cavs to get Carmelo even if trade includes Love.”

With the reports swarming around the league in the middle of a big game for Cleveland, James & Love responded with huge games.

LeBron James dropped 32 Points on 67% FG, along with 17 Assists and an incredible 6-8 from the 3-point line, including this one to take the game to overtime:

Not only did Kevin Love throw that unbelievable pass to LeBron to force an overtime period, Love ended the game with 39 Points and 12 Rebounds, while shooting 6-10 from downtown to help the Cavaliers pull out their 140-135 OT victory.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have now won 5 of their last 6 games, with their January struggles now behind them, the Cavs have expressed how content they are with their current roster.

When LeBron James was asked directly after the game about the trade rumors, he responded with immediate distaste to the question and said, “It’s trash, and the guy who wrote it is trash…it’s always about outside noise, and that’s just outside noise to us.”

After a huge win against one of the hottest teams in the NBA (Washington 11-2 in last 13 games) the Cavaliers are back on pace to continue their road to defend their championship.

Cleveland will go on to face the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, who have been hot as of lately and are on a 7 game win streak.

The Wizards will look to get back on a win streak, as they face the 9 win Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday who are 1-21 in their last 22 games.
