Lillard Joins Elite Company

Despite having a subpar outing Sunday against the Golden State Warriors, the Portland Trail Blazers point guard etched his name into the history books.

Millard became just the 10th player in NBA history to record at least 8,000 points and 2,000 assists in his first five seasons, joining some hoop legends.

Dame finished with 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field to go along with eight dimes in Portland’s heartbreaking 113-111 loss to the Stephen Curry-less Dubs.

The 26-year-old remains one of the most explosive scorers in the game, but was an All-Star snub for the second straight year due in part to his team’s lack of success and the sheer abundance of elite guards in the West.
