11-30. That was the record the Miami Heat had on January 13, 2017 and they were well on their way to the lottery. Fast forward to April 11, 2017 and Miami is one win away from clinching a playoff berth. The sensational turnaround has forever cemented this Heat team as the greatest below .500 team in the eyes of many.

Wednesday’s final game will determine if this Heat team will make the playoffs and whether it will cap off what has turned into one of the best stories of the NBA season. But to clinch a berth, Miami will need some help. Last nights’ win over the Cavaliers would have locked Miami’s playoff seeding but the Chicago Bulls and the Indiana Pacers both won their games respectively which has made Wednesday important for all three teams.

These are the scenarios the would either get the Heat in to the playoffs or eliminate them.

It has been a tremendous season for Miami, the icing on the cake would be this playoff berth. A familiar face on a new team will be a deciding factor on if this Heat team gets into the playoffs as they did for the majority of his career, or be eliminated from contention.
