After all, the defender has spent the entirety of his career with the organization. He annually puts up numbers. Furthermore, Garrett proves to be a consistently deserving NFL Defensive Player of the Year candidate. For many seasons, it has been a two-man race between him and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ TJ Watt.
This makes his recent trade demand that much more difficult for the Dawg Pound faithful.

The former Texas A&M product knows that he only has a small window. Winning has to take priority, as an eight-year vet. Moreover, it’s difficult to see this Browns organization making the moves necessary to mount a serious challenge in the AFC North. Forget about being Super Bowl challengers.

The QB room reality is well established at this point. Cleveland possesses a dark void here. Unfortunately, there’s little suggesting it will improve any time soon. This is too critical an aspect for him to ignore any longer. As great as having good defensive contributions can be, unwatchable quarterback play is too much of a back killer.

Once belief expires, it cannot be regained. The defensive end believes he could continue to have a successful individual career on Lake Erie. However, postseason play isn’t possible.
