With summer league ending late Tuesday night, it appeared as if the NBA world would be on a backburner for the next couple of months.

Toronto is close to a deal to acquire Spurs All-Star Kawhi Leonard, league sources tell @ChrisBHaynes and me. Trade package includes DeMar DeRozan, league sources tell ESPN.

We learned this morning that Danny Green and Jakob Poeltl have also been included in the deal, as well as a 2019 protected first round pick heading to San Antonio. Several NBA players expressed their displeasure with Toronto selling out their franchise cornerstone.
