Gordon Hayward Fractures Ankle, NBA Twitter Reacts

Just six minutes into his Boston Celtics debut, Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome leg injury that was later determined to be a fractured left ankle. The following video has disturbing images, and viewer discretion is advised.

Fans around the NBA are shell-shocked about this. Coming into this season, the new-look Celtics featuring Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward were considered one of the favorites to win the Eastern Conference. However, with Hayward seemingly out for the remainder of the season, it seems like the Eastern Conference is once again, Cleveland’s to lose.
