Nerlens Noel suffered a left ankle sprain in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Pistons and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the game.

It’s unclear when exactly Noel sustained the injury or how serious the sprain is, but he never reentered the game after a second-quarter substitution with 3:59 remaining in the first half.

Noel played only 10 minutes in Detroit after missing the Sixers’ first 23 games of the season with a knee injury, posting eight points and a steal on 3-of-5 shooting.

The 22-year-old, who remains the subject of trade rumors, averaged 10.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.7 blocks in 30 minutes over his first two seasons.
