Players Who Should Be All-Stars

The 2016-17 NBA All Star Game is right around the corner, and NBA fans, as always, will be anxious for the festivities. All Star Weekend will be in New Orleans this year.

This season, there are many players who are deserving of the honor in playing in the All Star Game, but here are my deserving recommendations to NBA fans:

  1. Kawhi Leonard- Not only is Leonard leading the 25-6 Spurs, but also he’s doing it in a “Leonard-Like” way. The Spurs, as always, aren’t getting any national coverage as usual, but they are right behind the Golden State Warriors in terms of seeding (2nd) Leonard is averaging 24 ppg, his highest of his career. This season, his ball handling and passing has improved drastically.
  2. Giannis Antetokounmpo- After signing a 4-year, $100 million contract during the offseason, The Greek Freak has lived up to all expectations put on him. Just like Leonard, not only did he improve his scoring, his rebounding has been pivotal to the Bucks success this season. The 6’11” forward definitely deserves all recognition he is getting right now.
  3. Marc Gasol- Big Spain has been huge for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. What’s interesting to note about Gasol, is he has now become a threat from the 3-point line. He is shooting 43% from 3 this season. Along with his 20-ppg average, he has been leading the Grizzlies every game of this young season.
  4. Gordon Hayward- The Utah Jazz are currently the 7th seed in the wild Western Conference behind this man right here. Hayward is having his best season of his career.
  5. Russell Westbrook- No explanation needed
  6. James Harden- No explanation needed
  7. Demar Derozan- I believe Derozan deserves a starting spot. He’s also having the best season of his career, but it seems like he keeps on getting better. His Raptors are right behind the Cavs
  8. Kevin Durant- No explanation needed
  9. Isaiah Thomas- IT has been flat out remarkable this season. He’s averaging 27 points on 44% shooting from the field. Please vote for this man
  10. Kemba Walker- The All-Star Game will need someone like Walker, because he is a great one-on-one player. We like to see players play show flashy handles and challenge each other in one-on-one, but Walker is arguably the best to watch. His ball handling and scoring ability is unreal.
