The Houston Rockets are interested in making a trade for Serge Ibaka, center for the Orlando Magic.
Calvin Watkins of ESPN was the first to report that the Houston Rockets were interested in Ibaka. Watkins also pointed out that the Rockets are looking to add a backup point guard for Patrick Beverley.
Ibaka has been with the Magic for only 53 games now after being traded to the Magic for Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova (who currently plays for the 76ers), and Demontas Sabonis.
While a member of the Magic, he is playing the best basketball of his career (offensively) with career highs in points and free throw percentage. If the trade goes through, this would be the second time he regroups with former teammate James Harden (presumed MVP). The trade deadline is Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. ET
