It seems the Bucks plan to make some type of move come February 8th.
The intensity of this move, however, is unknown.
According to a report from The Athletic, the Bucks have interest in acquiring a “modest” center upgrade that included Hawks center Dewayne Dedmon and Knicks backup center Kyle O’Quinn.
Outside of a left leg injury that sidelined him for about a month and a half, Dedmon has played fairly well as Atlanta’s starting center, averaging 10 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest this season. Dedmon signed with the Hawks this past offseason, which includes a 6.3MM player option for next season.
O’Quinn may be the more attainable asset, as he sits behind Enes Kanter on the Knicks center totem pole, averaging 6.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 16.7 minutes per game. His Per-36 numbers (14.2 PPG, 12.2 RPG, 4.1 APG, 2.2 BPG) are quite intriguing. Similar to Dedmon, O’Quinn has a player option for next season.
The 2018 NBA Trade Deadline commences this Thursday, February 8th at 3 PM ET.
