The Miami Heat retired Shaquille O’Neal’s jersey, making him the fourth member of the organization to receive the honor.
Shaq was present for the 2006 championship winning Heat, beating the Dallas Mavericks in six games. Shaq spent four seasons with the Heat, and you could get a sense of how comfortable he was on the court.
During his time with the Heat, he averaged 20 points, nine rebounds and two blocks per game. He was also a pivotal piece in the Heat 2006 championship run.
After that season, Shaq was at the point of slowing his career down and he would later go on to join five more teams. He retired in 2011 with the Boston Celtics and is now an NBA analyst at TNT.
