John Wall and Bradley Beal were certainly in the Christmas spirit as they led the Washington Wizards to a 111-103 victory against the Boston Celtics. This was the first matchup between these two teams since the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Wall finished with 21 points and was a +15 on the floor tonight. He also had 14 assists to go along with his prolific night. Bradley Beal scored a game-high 25 points, whilst Otto Porter Jr. added 20. All five of the Wizards starters were in double figures for the night and Kelly Oubre Jr. 15 points off the bench.
As for the Celtics, rookie Jayson Tatum had 20 points and shot a staggering 7-of-9 from the floor. He also gave the Celtics their first lead of the fourth quarter. Terry Rozier had 16 points off the bench for the Celtics on 6-of-9 shooting. Daniel Theis (12 points) and Marcus Smart (10 points) both came off the bench with high energy and contributed but it was not enough.
