Wizards To Wear All Black Vs Celtics

The Washington Wizards will wear all black uniforms when they go up against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night. The game falls less than two weeks after a postgame altercation between the two sides. The Wizards lost that game, 117-108.

“We’re wearing all black to the game. You’ll know where we’re going with that,” Kelly Oubre said, according to Chase Hughes of CSN Mid-Atlantic. “We’re ready for whatever. We’re wearing all black to the game. It’s a memo that the team is giving away. We’re ready for whatever, man. Round 3. Let’s get it.”

Could the all-black-everything message be a slight to the Celtics? Probably. Bradley Beal, who suggested the attire for Tuesday’s game, clashed with Boston’s Marcus Smart last January. He left with a broken nose.

As CSN recounts, Wall was ejected earlier this season in November for a hard foul on Smart. On Jan. 11, Jae Crowder poked John Wall in the nose. Both players were fined.

“We want to keep it clean as much as possible but we know it’ll probably get chippy, a little trash talking,” Beal told Candace Buckner of the Washington Post.
