The Bucks are planning to sign C Marshall Plumlee to their vacant two-way slot, Shams Charania of The Vertical announced during today’s game against Washington.
Plumlee spent the entirety of this season up to this point with the Clippers organization, appearing in four preseason games with Los Angeles before being waived and signed to their G-League affiliate, Agua Caliente. He averaged 8.7 points and 7.8 rebounds over 26.5 minutes per game with Agua Caliente.
Plumlee, brother of former Buck Miles and current Blazer Mason, spent four years at Duke University but didn’t really scratch out any playing time until his senior year, where he averaged 8.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 30.5 minutes per game. He then went undrafted in 2016 but was picked up by the New York Knicks, in which he appeared in 21 games a season ago.
Similar to Sean Kilpatrick’s original two-way deal, Plumlee will have pro-rated time with the Bucks, which will likely be roughly 20 days, since we are at the midway point of the season.
