Durant Blasts Capela For Comments Against Warriors

Clint Capela had some choice words for the defending NBA champions following the Rockets win over the Warriors on Saturday. Capela boldly claimed that the Rockets “are better than the Warriors.” Warriors star F and Finals MVP Kevin Durant did not seem to appreciate Capela’s statements.

“You hear it from guys like Capela,” Durant said. “Usually he’s catching the ball and laying it up from CP orJames Harden. His job is not as hard. When your job is that hard, you know you can’t just come out there and say s— like that. I don’t expect that from CP and James, Ariza and the rest of the guys like that because they know how hard it is to come out and do that every night. Capela, catch and dunk every night. It’s pretty easy for him.”

The Rockets beat the Warriors 116-108 on Saturday night and won the season series versus the defending champs, 2-1. The Rockets sit in second place in the Western Conference, 3.5 games behind the Warriors. If these two teams should meet in the Western Conference Finals, we can truly find out if Capela’s comments are true or not.
