Despite playing a very competitive game, the Sacramento Kings fall 101-95 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron James led the charge for the Cavaliers, as the came back from a nine-point halftime deficit.
During the first half, Sacramento had the defending Eastern Conference champions’ number. The Kings scored 57 points in the first half and Zach Randolph scored whenever he wanted. Randolph ended the game with 18 points, ten rebounds, and six assists.
The Kings’ bench, like it has most of the season, provided a big-time spark. Buddy Hield led the second unit with 17 points on 7/13 shooting.
The second half wasn’t as kind for Sacramento. They got outscored by 15 and only posted 38 points.
James dominated in Cleveland comeback with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Kevin Love added a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
This was a strong showing from Sacramento. They battled throughout and responded well every time LeBron seemed primed to finish the game off. However, the Kings’ intensity seemed to fall off in the fourth quarter.
George Hill posted ten points and five rebounds for the Kings, and Frank Mason III added 15 points off the bench. Sacramento falls to 7-17 and travels to New Orleans on Friday to face off against DeMarcus Cousins and the Pelicans.
