“You started the superteam, bro!” Were the words that Greens said while speaking to the Warriors fans at their championship celebration. Green was responding to a comment that LeBron James made, stating that he has never played for a superteam. The podcast is hosted by the teammates of James, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye along with sideline reporter Allie Clifton.

LeBron had this to say in response to Draymond.

“No. I mean in 2003, the Lakers combined Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Shaq and Kobe. And in ’96, when Jordan was retired, the Rockets joined Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler all on the same team.

“But I don’t look at it as … I definitely didn’t start the superteam, if that’s what he’s trying to say.”

LeBron took a subtle shot at Green for mentioning him during their celebration.

But I just feel like that it’s great that on the day you’re celebrating your championship, my likeness and my name is in your head. I love that.”  via ESPN

James is credited with starting the superteam era when he joined Dywane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami during the summer of 2010, and continuing the superteam era upon his return to Cleveland in 2014 when the team shuffled its assets to bring Kevin Love from the Timberwolves to join him and budding star Kyrie Irving.

Both James and Green spent yesterday in a back and forth battle on Instagram taking shots at one another. After LeBron noticed the t-shirt mocking the Cavaliers Quicken Loans Arena name, James posted this:

Green fire backed at LeBron, who earlier that day revealed that he shaved his head.

LeBron ended the conversation by speaking of his motivation.

“My motivation? It hasn’t changed,” James said. “My motivation hasn’t stopped. It’s just ‘Strive for greatness.’ My motivation don’t change. I can’t stop. I refuse to stop.”

As the draft approaches and the NBA season being 4 months away, we all can look forward to seeing what moves the Cavaliers make in their attempt to return to the finals for the fourth consecutive season, while fans wait to see if it will be Cavs vs Dubs IV.
