The Return of Ray Allen

After sitting out the past two seasons, and up there in age as he’s turning 41 this month, Ray Allen is still considering a comeback to the NBA.  According to ESPN, Allen’s represenatives have reached out to the Warriors and the Cavaliers about possibility joining their teams.  Allen is not 100% sure that he wants to play again, but the idea of him joining a team like the Warriors and winning a ring, could lure him back to the league.

How would he fit with these two teams, considering he will be 41 years old and hasn’t played for two seasons?  Well since he is known as one of the greatest shooters of all-time, all he would have to do is stay out there on the three point line and do what he does best.  Allen will not be asked to score a lot of points, or lock up the opposing team’s best scorer, but he will simply be brought in to shoot the ball.  Especially with the Warriors, whose style fits Allen perfect.  Now that they have Kevin Durant, who is one of the best scorers to ever play the game, Allen will just be a option when team’s decide to double on Durant.  The same goes for LeBron James, who demands a lot of attention and made a living with his passing to shooters out on the three point line.

Which ever one of these teams Ray Allen decides to go to, he will have the same role, which is to shoot!
