Rubio Breaks Franchise Record For Most Assists In A Game

The Timberwolves had a tough opponent in the Wizards, who have been playing exceptional basketball the past few months, and handled them with ease thanks to Ricky Rubio’s franchise record 19 assists.

They defeated the Wizards 119-104 Monday night. This is an easy task to accomplish when your point guard puts up 22 points and comes one assist shy of his first career 20/20 game.

The Wolves are now 7-3 in their last 10 and sit just 3 games out of the final playoff spot in the West. Tonight’s win was big for the team.

Of course, it’s easy to win when your point guard has 10 assists in the first quarter.
