Scott Brooks of the Washington Wizards and Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors were named NBA Coaches of the Month for January, the league announced Wednesday.

Kerr oversaw a Warriors squad that compiled the NBA’s best record (12-2) in the first month of 2017, running up a point differential of 14.1. Kerr also took Western Conference honors in November.

Brooks’ Wizards registered a 12-4 record in January – best in the East – going 7-0 at the Verizon Center and extending its home winning streak to 15 games, tied for the second-longest run in franchise history. Brooks is in his first year at the helm in Washington after seven years with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
