Waiver Wire Week 15 – Fantasy Football 2024

Week 15 marks the start of the fantasy playoffs for many, and there’s still value to be found on the waiver wire.

A pair of backup running backs and a wily vet headline the current top options. As always, I’ll be here every Tuesday with my top waiver adds of the week. Percentages are based on ESPN’s rostered player data.

Quarterbacks

Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets (39.6%)

Rodgers is coming off his best game of the season against the Dolphins, and he’ll get a golden matchup this week against the Jaguars. With Breece Hall banged up, Rodgers will continue to throw this week and should have success thanks to the mismatches his weapons provide against the Jaguars secondary.

Jameis Winston, Cleveland Browns (19.7%)

Winston is a great fantasy quarterback because he airs it out and makes mistakes that keep the Browns in pass-heavy game scripts. While he faces a tough defense in the Chiefs this week, he’s a solid option if Rodgers isn’t available.

Running Backs

Sincere McCormick, Las Vegas Raiders (11.3%)

McCormick led the Raiders’ backfield last week, carrying the ball 15 times for 78 yards while catching two passes for 11 yards. It seems the Raiders will continue to play McCormick regardless of whether the rest of the backfield is healthy, and he could provide RB2 numbers from here on out, even though the offensive environment is poor.

Volume is king in fantasy football, and you’re unlikely to find another running back on the waiver wire who will earn more touches than McCormick this week.

Isaiah Davis, New York Jets (3.4%)

Davis earned 13 touches last week and made the most of them, totaling 67 yards and a rushing touchdown with Breece Hall out. He’ll continue to split time with Braelon Allen, but a good matchup against the Jaguars should provide scoring opportunities as the Jets figure to visit the red zone often this week.

Wide Receivers

Jalen McMillan, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8.5%)

McMillan posted the best game of his career last week, catching four of seven targets for 59 yards and two touchdowns.

The Buccaneers have a friendly schedule to end the season, and you want to take shots on improving rookies who could provide a lift if they have a full breakout down the stretch. McMillan is showing signs, so it’s time to pick him up.

Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns (23.5%)

Moore had a down game against the Steelers, but he’s continued to see a plethora of targets since Amari Cooper left, so he’s a solid add from waivers in a game versus the Chiefs, where the Browns are expected to play from behind.

Tight Ends

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints (13.9%)

Johnson’s increased playing time led to greater dividends last week, as he caught four of five targets for 50 yards and a touchdown last week against the Giants. With Derek Carr out for the year, Johnson’s risk of posting a letdown increases, but he’s a decent add, given the lack of options in New Orleans.

Tyler Conklin, New York Jets (17.1%)

Conklin has seen five targets in each of the past two games and now gets a great matchup against the Jaguars. I expect Rodgers to air it out in this one and throw multiple touchdowns, giving Conklin a chance to put up double digits in Week 15.
