With the NBA offseason appearing to be winding down, plenty of fans are already turning their attention to the upcoming season, and so are the sportsbooks.

DraftKings recently released the over-under win totals for all 30 teams, and the early results are certainly intriguing. After a fair amount of action in the draft and free agency, which franchises have the most optimism and pessimism going into 2025-26?

Here are the current projections.

Eastern Conference over-under totals

  1. Cleveland: 55.5
  2. New York: 51.5
  3. Orlando: 51.5
  4. Atlanta: 46.5
  5. Detroit: 45.5
  6. Milwaukee: 44.5
  7. Boston: 44.5
  8. Philadelphia: 43.5
  9. Indiana: 38.5
  10. Miami: 37.5
  11. Toronto: 35.5
  12. Chicago: 32.5
  13. Charlotte: 24.5
  14. Brooklyn: 21.5
  15. Washington: 20.5

DraftKings projects Cleveland to be in the driver’s seat for best team in the Eastern Conference. At 55.5, the Cavaliers sit four wins ahead of New York and Orlando, who both sit in second at 51.5. Cleveland won 64 games last year, and DraftKings is clearly confident the Cavs can once again perform well, at least in the regular season.

Orlando remains one of the most notable risers so far. The Magic won 41 games in 2024-25, but will start the year healthy and now with former Grizzlies wing Desmond Bane.

Atlanta is another team DraftKings clearly has its eye on. The Hawks made plenty of moves this offseason, including trading for Kristaps Porziņģis and signing Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luke Kennard. The Hawks’ over-under sits over six wins higher than its record last year.

The offseason proved to be unkind for two of the top-four East teams last year in Boston and Indiana. After winning 61 games in 2024-25, Boston now sits at 44.5 with Jayson Tatum likely out for the year and plenty of key pieces now on other teams. The Pacers, who won 50 games, are at 38.5 with Tyrese Haliburton also sidelined and former center Myles Turner now in Milwaukee.

The rest of the conference features three wild cards: Detroit, Philadelphia and Toronto. DraftKings projects the Pistons to perform similarly to their 44-win campaign in 2024-25. Philly won 24 games last year and now projects the Sixers to finish above .500. Toronto has plenty of talent, but whether all the pieces fit together remains an open question.

Charlotte, Brooklyn and Washington project to be the bottom three in the conference in 2025-26.

Western Conference over-under totals

  1. Oklahoma City: 62.5
  2. Houston: 55.5
  3. Denver: 53.5
  4. Minnesota: 50.5
  5. Los Angeles Lakers: 47.5
  6. Golden State: 47.5
  7. Los Angeles Clippers: 47.5
  8. San Antonio: 42.5
  9. Memphis: 41.5
  10. Dallas: 38.5
  11. Sacramento: 35.5
  12. Portland: 33.5
  13. New Orleans: 31.5
  14. Phoenix: 30.5
  15. Utah: 18.5

The reigning NBA champions are expected to once again win more than 60 games next year. The Thunder essentially retain their entire team from the 2024-25 season, which went 68-14. OKC is seven wins higher than second-place in the odds.

That spot is currently held by Houston, which made the move of the offseason in trading for Kevin Durant, plus adding Dorian Finney-Smith and Clint Capela to an already deep team. It’s a similar story for third-place Denver, who acquired Cam Johnson and Jonas Valančiūnas via trade and signed Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. The Nuggets won 50 games last year.

DraftKings also remains high on Minnesota, who reached the Western Conference Finals in consecutive years. The T-Wolves essentially have their entire core back, but did lose Alexander-Walker and other depth pieces.

After Minnesota, there’s a clear next tier of high-40s wins projections with both Los Angeles teams and Golden State. A similar trend with all three: plenty of upside talent, concern over regular season ceiling and still room for improvement and roster shake-up.

One team that stands out compared to last year is San Antonio, who finished with 34 wins and No. 13 in the West last year. The Spurs are expected for around 40 wins and the eighth seed. After that, the rest of the conference is a group of volatility with six teams between 30.5 and 41.5. Utah, who has an over-under of 18.5, is projected for the fewest wins of all 30 teams.
