Are the Boston Celtics Boring?

In a sports world filled with negativity, it is no surprise that the Boston Celtics are the most hated team in the NBA.

Whether it’s Jayson Tatum‘s shortcomings, Joe Mazzulla’s Bird Brain courtesy of Kendrick Perkins, or the Celtics’ playstyle— NBA fans and Media alike aren’t too shy about their disdain for the storied franchise.

The newest storyline: The Boston Celtics are boring. No, I am not kidding.

The juggernaut Boston Celtics, who won the championship by going 16-3 in the playoffs, just don’t appease true “basketball” fans.

Why? Because they “chuck” up 3’s.

Payton Pritchard summed it up perfectly.

“We’re the best at doing it. Why would we change?”

NBA fans and media enjoy running away with untrue and honestly laughable narratives.

The Celtics have attempted 44.5 three-pointers per game in the last two seasons, the most in the league. They’ve averaged 38% overall— elite for that volume.

Until the Celtics fall from the top of the NBA mountain, invalid storylines will continue to plague them. After all, the San Antonio Spurs dealt with the same thing.

Headlines reading ‘Why the Spurs Can’t Shed Media’s Boring Label’ ran frequently.

Take the constant bewildering headlines and online comments as a compliment. The NBA can’t stop the Boston Celtics— so they must find an angle to dig at them.

As many have said: ‘They hate us because they ain’t us.’

Mazzulla Ball absolutely rules.
