Monday October 23rd: Bucks 103, Hornets 94

Giannis continued to light it up with 32 points, 6 assists, 14 rebounds, 2 blocks, and one steal in a game that was close until the very end. The final score is a bit misleading as the Bucks were down 77-73 heading into the fourth quarter. It was only near the end of the game when the Bucks were able to put it out of reach, scoring the games’ final nine points.  Khris Middleton scored 20 points, and Mirza Teletovic showed that he still can hit from outside nailing five three-pointers.  Former Wisconsin Badgers’ standout Frank Kaminsky led all Hornets scorers with 18 points, hitting three of four outside the arc. Jeremy Lamb connected for 17 points, while Kemba Walker scored 15.

Thursday October 26th: Celtics 96, Bucks 89

Despite losing Gordon Hayward in game one of their season, Boston found a way to slow down Giannis by packing the paint with defenders.  The Celtics played excellent defense throughout the game, making it difficult for Milwaukee to score. Giannis still dropped 28 points, but Brogdon and Middleton were held to 15 points each. The Celtics were the better team that night, with strong performances out of the dynamic duo of Al Horford and Kyrie Irving. Horford was four of five from deep, and led all Celtics with 27 points. Kyrie scored 24 points in a night that he returned to his true form.

Sunday October 29th: Bucks 117, Hawks 106

In a game that the Bucks were expected to win, Milwaukee did not disappoint. The Bucks had the lead for the entire game, starting with Giannis scoring nine of the Bucks first 12 points. Middleton’s shooting slump continued in the first half, missing seven straight shots, but he found his stroke again, finishing the game with 27 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. Giannis led all scorers with 33 points and Brogdon put in a solid effort with 16 points. With Greg Monroe out due to of calf soreness, the Bucks bench needed to step up.  John Henson answered the call with another solid performance – 12 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. Rashad Vaughn got some minutes in the first half, nailing four three-point shots. Dennis Schroder led Atlanta with 21 points in a game that Atlanta was never really in. At one point the Hawks had pulled within 11 points after being down by 23, but that’s as close as they got.

This Weeks’ Games:

10/31: vs. Oklahoma City (3-3)

11/1: @ Charlotte (3-3)

11/3: @ Detroit (5-2)
