November 13th: Bucks 110, Grizzlies 103
The Bucks’ new intensity continued in this battle against a tough Grizzlies team. Giannis led all Bucks with 27 points, but the night belonged to John Henson. Henson had 17 points, 8 rebounds, three assists, and 2 blocked shots. His play in the high post was also admirable as his passing was crisp. Middleton also chipped in 17 points, and Bledsoe had a solid night with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Tyreke Evans was the highest scoring Grizzlies player with 27 points, Dillon Brooks 19, and Marc Gasol with 16 points. The key to victory was containing Grizzlies PG Mike Conley, who finished with just seven points.
November 15th: Bucks 99, Pistons 95
Milwaukee extended its winning streak to four since trading for Eric Bledsoe. The game has been referred to as a “block party”, with the Bucks combining to block 16 Piston shots, the most for any team thus far this season. Andre Drummond again out-muscled the Bucks under the basket, picking up 17 rebounds, but Giannis and Thon Maker defended the rim well, each blocking four shots. The Bucks had six players in double digit scoring, with Middleton leading the way with 27 points in this offensive attack. Giannis added 21 points, Bledsoe 14, Snell 13, Brogdon 12, and Henson 10. Avery Bradley led all Pistons with 28 points, and Andre Drummond / Tobias Harris each contributed 13 points.
November 18th: Mavericks 111, Bucks 79
Milwaukee headed into Dallas brimming with confidence having won their last four games in a row. But the Bucks couldn’t make a shot to save their lives in this ugly loss to a struggling Mavericks team. Only Giannis and Middleton scored in double digits for an ice cold Milwaukee offense. Shooting from the field was weak, and this carried over to the free throw line as well where John Henson made a meager 3 of 10. Madison product Wesley Matthews was the top scorer for Dallas with 22 points, followed closely by JJ Barea with 20, and Harrison Barnes with 18.
