ESPN NBA Analyst and former NBA player Chauncey Billups will be interviewed by the Atlanta Hawks next week for the general manager position, Chris Haynes of ESPN reported.

According to Haynes, the interview will take place in Los Angeles and the Hawks will not be expected to take long with making a decision. Marc Stein has reported that the Hawks have already interviewed Tommy Sheppard (Wizards president of basketball operations) and Golden State assistant general manager Travis Schlenk.

A student of the game would be a preference for the Hawks. With big decisions coming up in the offseason, especially with the situation with Paul Millsap being an unrestricted free agent.
