But Williams has done very little when given opportunities. In 17 games thus far, he has averaged 9.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, shooting just 36% from the field.
He has been a disappointment. His stock continues to take a hit due to his ongoing injury issues. His absence has blown the Bulls’ defensive schemes and overall depth. But the rise of Matas Buzelis is quickly making fans forget about Williams’ importance to the Bulls’ success.
Coby White
Coby White’s season has been marred by a left ankle sprain, which has limited his impact. While he’s shown flashes of brilliance, consistency remains an issue. White’s points per game have taken a slight dip since last year, and he is shooting closer to his career average of 42%. Questions remain about whether White is a key part of the Bulls’ future.
