Derrick Rose on the Move?

on

Derrick Rose’s future with the Knicks appears to be up in the air.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, several teams are reportedly interested in Rose, who becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. Rose has also made it clear that he is seeking a max-contract this offseason, which the Knicks may not be willing to do.

After acquiring both Rose and Joakim Noah from the Bulls back in June, the Knicks appeared playoff bound. The starting five of Derrick Rose, Courtney Lee, perennial all-star Carmelo Anthony, ceiling-less Kristaps Porzingis and Joakim Noah looked dangerous on paper.

As we hit the all-star break, the Knicks are a disappointing 23-34, but are only four games out of a playoff spot in the east. Phil Jackson will soon have to decide what is best for the Knicks organization going forward. The trade deadline is next Thursday, February 23rd at 3 PM ET.
