According to the Philadelphia 76ers’ Twitter and other sources, Joel Embiid (who was originally expected to return to the Sixers lineup as early as Friday) is now out indefinitely due to swelling in his left knee.
The Sixers’ franchise big man will undergo an MRI this afternoon that should tell whether or not he’ll be making a come back anytime this season.
Embiid has only played in 31 of a possible 58 games this season, missing back-to-backs and under a minutes restriction to avoid any more injuries after “The Process” missed his first two seasons due to injury problems.
