The infamous KeyArena in Seattle, Washington plans to host a 2018 NBA preseason game, Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports reports.
KeyArena is currently home to the WNBA’s Seattle Storm, but no other professional sports team. Since the SuperSonics left for Oklahoma City in 2008, we have not seen NBA action in Seattle since. KeyArena hosted the first and second round games of the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Despite being a preseason game, expect a large, if not sold out crowd. Basketball fans in Seattle have been craving for NBA basketball to return to the Emerald City, and efforts for a new arena have sparked the idea of NBA and NHL expansion teams coming their way.
