Knicks Sign Veteran Jarrett Jack

The New York Knicks and 12-year veteran Jarrett Jack have agreed to a one-year deal. The deal will not be fully guaranteed as Jack has had recent injury problems. This will be Jack’s ninth team in 13 years, so he will be able to bring veteran leadership to a young, struggling Knicks organization who only managed to win 31 games last season. The Knicks drafted Frank Ntilikina with the eighth overall pick in this year’s draft and are looking for veteran point guards to help mentor him in his first and possibly the second year in the league.

Jack is coming off two major knee injuries the past two seasons which limited him to just 34 games the past two years. In his career, Jack has averaged 11.0 ppg, 2.9 RPG, and 4.5 APG. The Knicks originally signed veteran Ramon Sessions back in July to help the mentoring process and now this signing of Jack should solidify their point guard position for the 2017-18 season.
