The Brooklyn Nets are supposedly looking to shop star center, Brook Lopez before the trade deadline. As indicated by Marc Stein of ESPN, the asking cost from Lopez has dropped altogether.
At first, Brooklyn would’ve accepted a deal that would include two first round picks. However, Brooklyn will now accept a first and second round pick.
With Lopez losing value, this now gives the Indiana Pacers a chance to pull the trigger, as they have been waiting all this time. The Pacers really want to make a move at Lopez, according to many reports.
However, if they make the move for Lopez, they would be dealing Al Jefferson and/or another guard. According to NBA reporter Peter Vecsey, the Pacers are actively looking for ways to land Lopez in Indy.
Lopez is averaging 20 points per game on 47 percent shooting from the field. While he is having a career year, the Nets obviously do not see a future for him in Brooklyn. In fact, he could be a wondrous scoring addition to all-star Paul George. Let’s see if the Nets pull the trigger.
